Digital Fluency Intensive Session 1

My first day at Manaiakalani's Digital Fluency Intensive  was just that. There was and is so much to learn and then take back to class to share with my class. There were many things I did know, however the things I didn't know were really eye opening and useful tools for me to add to my digital kete.

The biggest takeaway I had from this session was using documents like a working text book. This is useful when pupils create a piece of writing. Instead of opening a new doc for every piece of writing the pupil can open up the same folder and document (for example Term 1 Writing) and create a new heading with the days story title and date by using Heading 1. By creating titles, headings and sub-headings this keeps your work organised and can be navigated by the use of a contents page.

A simple but effective tool!
